Sonshine Wendi Brodsky

Wendi Brodsky  moved from Southern California to Los Osos to complete her senior year.  She began volunteering in October 1992, to complete a school project although she was only required 40 hours, she continued  helping out at Sonshine after school until she graduated in June 1993. Asking to be hired only for the summer she found that her love for working with children was deep. She began her education  at Cuesta college and continued on to the University of Phoenix. in addition to her many classes in  early childhood education she also received a bachelors degree in human services/management

Starting at Sonshine as a volunteer, and becoming director in 2011, Wendi learned that it takes a community to provide all that a child really needs. With the love and support from teachers,  friends  and family , her daughter Lacey, is now grown into a beautiful young woman . It's is Wendi's desire to help each and every family that walks through the door to  feel the love and support from both Sonshine and FBC, just as she has and still does.

It is her belief that introducing Christ into a child's life is important. She also feels that it needs to be down gently and with great love  "introduce not forced"... upon her desk you will find her favorite verse.  Proverbs  3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your path"
